mamo #34: It's a black thing

After a two week hiatus, we're back to examine the phenomenon of Tyler Perry, and the general malaise with which the "black" movie is viewed in predominantly white Hollywood. Yup, as 2 caucasians from Canada, we're uniquely qualified. Listen, as we court disaster.

Good to have you guys back. With another late MAMO I was wondering if you guys would miss another week or not.

For the Oscars clips that you guys will be putting up Sunday night, will they be available via the website or only through podcast subscription? I ask because I've yet to get around to installing podcatching software, because I always end up downloading podcasts from multiple locations (work, several computers at home) so I've never bothered with podcatching software that downloads MP3's to one location. If you guys are doing it that way, then I'll get some software and subscribe to MAMO and if not then I'll just keep downloading stuff off the website.

By the way, Matthew Brown, thanks for those trailer links on a previous post. I had heard about the Brokeback to the Future but hadn't seen it yet and the Shining one I think is the best of the bunch and just hilarious.

Hey Matthew,

(We should really start calling you The Third Matthew)

The podcast will be available on the web site on Oscar night, installment by installment. The site will then be revised on Monday to host the whole connect-the-dots show.

Glad you liked the clips!
