Mamo #66: The Flick of Destiny

The One Minute Film Festival, Robert Altman, Michael "Kramer" Richards, Borat, James Bond, Happy Feet, and Tenacious D. What do all of these wide and varied things have in common? Only Mamo 66, the great bringer-togetherer.

I think the Matt P's whispering rant about Deja Vu is the hardest I've ever laughed at MAMO.

Since I'm assuming comments are still broken on Tederick...

The festival last night was awesome. The quality of the shorts far exceeded my expectations and the one with you and the twins was hilarious.

Couldn't rock the after party though. I had a train to catch back to Borington.

Matthew Brown needs to plug the date of the One Minute Film Festival with more lead time! I would have been interested in going to it, but having listened to the Mamo last night I was far too late. I think the same thing happened last year. I was going to add that Mr. Brown should plug it on his own blog, but I just checked and realize he did and I missed it. Maybe next year I should pay attention to when it happens ahead of time instead of waiting for a plug.

As for Daniel Craig, I think his part in Layer Cake is what got him the job. It was after watching that movie that I knew he would make a great more Ian Fleming like Bond.

Hey Matt, yes you should definitely come to the festival next year - and you can get on the festival mailing list via the contact form at minutefilmfest.com if you want to be absolutely (well, relatively) certain that someone from the festival staff will e-mail you ahead of time. :)
