Mamo #164: We Bet It All On The A-Team

The summer box office picks are here! Listen to the Matts do their regular sham job of trying to figure out which movies will win, which will tank, and which will win by blowing aircraft out of the air with a free-falling tank.

the comedy of the year (hangover 2010) in terms of box office will be Due Date, with Robert Downey Jnr. that will make $220m in November.

1. TOY STORY 3 - $420m (3D)
2. IRON MAN 2 - $400m (3D)
3. INCEPTION - $380m (IMAX)
4. SHREK 4 - $350m (3D)
5. ECLIPSE - $310m
6. DESPICABLE ME - $240m (3D)
7. JONAH HEX - $220m (3D)
8. PRINCE OF PERSIA - $210m (IMAX)
9. ROBIN HOOD - $200m
10. CATS & DOGS 2 - $200m (3D)

if Scott Pilgrim comes in 3D it could make $200m, Robin Hood will do a Sherlock Holmes, Cats & Dogs does Alvin money. Toy Story does $1b worldwide. Prince of Persia, Jonah Hex, Cats & Dogs, Inception all make more on imax screens that 2D, which would be the only reason Inception does do $250m plus, but it'll play till Piranha 3D in October, will make $75m here in Australia, and sell out for eight weeks at my local imax, world's second biggest. Darcy in Oz.

WILL REVISE IN 4 WEEKS, A LIT'

hey guys, i was just looking at Mark Walhberg's wikipedia page and got directed to the Date Night page, apparently the film cost $185m, i doube it but if true its the most expensive no action film ever, the same budget as The Dark Knight & Indy 3, though the action is prevelant, you can't give the director of Night of the Museum & Pink Panther this much money.
